We live in a culture in which we're so saturated with media and hype that it's a really rare moment to discover something truly unexpected, especially if you're talking about a film.

Tonight, I watched a movie that I knew nothing about, a movie that I'd never heard of before, I just thought it looked neat at the video store.

And I'm sitting here just totally blown away by it right now. Instantly one of my five favorite movies ever. I'm gonna buy it on DVD because I know I'll watch it again and again.

I'm not gonna tell you anything about it. It's called Donnie Darko. Go rent it.
