Yesterday was lazy hungover day. Scott and Dave are cranky hangover boys. Don and I spent most of the day shopping on Duval Street, buying necessities like overpriced flip flops and italian made shirts and windchimes made from glass and driftwood. After a dreadful dinner at another horrible dive bar, we watched the sunset at Mallory Square. Tonight, I'm set on having the Crispy Duck at Rooftop Cafe. But that will happen after we return from a day anchored out at the reefs snorkeling and generally chilling out.

So, I guess I'm gonna be blogging my vacation... does that make me a bitch? I thought a few of my friends might get a kick out of getting minor updates along the way. And now that I've figured out how to send photos from my phone straight to the blog, that's gonna be a fun thing to do the rest of the week. We also have wireless internet here at the Marina ($21 for 3 days... gee, that was so Warhol Diaries of me).
Last night was a drunken whirl down Duval Street. There were shots involved... tequilla even. Poor Scotty somehow smashed his Prada sunglasses and doesn't remember how. But he's better off than the cute blond twink who fell flat on his face at the Bourbon Street Pub last night breaking one of his front teeth in half. Watching one of his friends search the ground with a candle for the tooth was sort of funny. Finally, we were all, "honey, it's not like you can run get it reattached." We kept imagining how he was gonna feel waking up this morning with no memory of the fall, suddenly realizing he was missing half a tooth. Somebody was on the phone with daddy this morning, I imagine...

We're on vacation!
This is day 3 of 9 days yachting around Florida. We spent our first night docked at Miami Beach Marina. I got to see my friend Gonzalo's glorious South Beach high rise apartment. And we spent a little time eating and drinking in South Beach. I always thought i'd hate Miami, but I was wrong. It's very beautiful. As are the people... and the cars... and the dogs... and etc etc...
Yesterday, we boated on to Duck Key and we spent the night at Hawk's Cay, a pretty swank and very tropical resort. I'm currently typing on their free wireless internet in 'the Library.' This afternoon it's on to Key West for the next 4 or 5 days, with a day at the Dry Tortugas National Park. We'll see...
I'm loving my new SLVR, cuz I can IM, read my email and get news even when we're pretty far out on the water. And I just spent some time figuring out how to mobile blog with it, as well as how to get my gmail. Don's probably going to throw my phone overboard at some point... But, it is fun IMing people who are at work and saying "oh... we're having cocktails and watching the dolphins swim by..."
